Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
DubberBand lets you upload a video, dub it into Indian languages and publish it to YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to DubberBand and its website.
Who we are
DubberBand is a product of Sellayo Private Limited, registration number CIN U70200KL2026PTC105835, Suite No. 376B, 5/257A8, Pallath Square, FACT Kalamassery Rd, Kalamassery P.O., Ernakulam - 683104, Kerala, India. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that company. You can reach us at contact@sellayo.com. Our company website is sellayo.com.
What we collect
- Account. Your name and email address, and your password, which we store only in hashed form. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google. We also keep your workspace name, its members and their roles, and the email addresses of people you invite.
- Your content. The videos and images you upload, the dubbed videos and subtitle files we produce from them, and the captions, titles, tags, translations and schedules you write.
- Speech and voice. To dub a video we analyse the speech in it to transcribe and translate it, and we generate new audio in the language you choose. Unless you pick one of DubberBand’s own voices, the new audio is made to sound like the speaker or speakers in your video.
- Connected channels. When you connect YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, the platform asks you to approve access. We then store an authorisation that lets us act for you, plus the channel, Page or account name, ID and picture.
- Billing. Payments are taken by our payment provider. We receive your plan, its status, amounts paid, invoice references and a customer ID. We never see your full card number or UPI PIN.
- Technical data. Server logs with your IP address, browser, the pages and actions requested and any errors, and a record of the credits each dub uses.
- Cookies and browser storage. One session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also stores preferences, such as the theme and unfinished upload progress. We use no advertising or analytics cookies or trackers.
How we use it
- To run the service: store your files, dub and translate them, and publish or schedule the posts you create.
- To take payment, issue invoices and count the credits you use.
- To email you: invitations, alerts when a post or dub fails or a channel needs signing in again, and payment notices.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To answer your questions and meet our legal duties.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your videos, voice or captions for advertising.
Google and YouTube data
DubberBand’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you connect a YouTube channel we access:
- your channel’s name, ID and picture, to show it in your list of channels;
- permission to upload videos to that channel for you and to set their title, description, tags and visibility, to publish the videos you choose;
- the status and link of the uploads we make, to show whether a post went live.
We use this information only to provide and improve those features that you can see in the app. In particular:
- We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
- We do not transfer it to others except to provide the features you use, to follow the law, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
- People at our company do not read it unless you ask us to, it is needed to investigate abuse or a security problem, or the law requires it.
By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can withdraw our access at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
Instagram and Facebook data
When you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page, we access its name, ID and picture, and permission to publish posts to it for you. We use this only to show your channels, publish what you create and show the status and link of those posts. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. You can remove DubberBand’s access at any time in your Facebook settings under Business Integrations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the following, and only as far as needed:
- The platforms you connect (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook) receive the videos, captions and titles you publish to them.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers keep our database and your files.
- AI dubbing and translation providers receive your video, its audio and your captions to produce your dubs and translations. They act on our behalf and may keep that material for a limited time under their own terms.
- Our payment provider, who takes payments as merchant of record, and our email delivery provider.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it, and a buyer if the business is sold.
The software that schedules and sends your posts runs on our own servers. Some of the providers above may process information in other countries.
How long we keep it
- Account and workspace information, for as long as your account is open.
- Videos, dubs and subtitles, until you delete them. Deleting one in the app removes its file from our storage. A video you have published also leaves a copy in the system that sends it to the platforms, and we remove that copy when you ask us to delete your data.
- A channel’s authorisation, until you disconnect it or ask us to delete your data.
- Invoices and payment records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs, for a limited time. Deleted data can remain in our backups for a short while before it is overwritten.
Security
Connections to DubberBand use HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and only the members of a workspace can see its content. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us at once if you think your account was misused.
Your choices
You can:
- see and correct your account details in the app, or ask us to;
- disconnect any channel yourself, and delete videos and dubs that no post or dub uses;
- withdraw our access at Google or Facebook as described above;
- ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
Step by step instructions are on the Delete your data page. For any other request or complaint about your information, write to contact@sellayo.com.
Children
DubberBand is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top, and for significant changes we also email account owners. The latest version is always at this address.
